Smart incoming post: tracking of packages & goods
For the internal incoming post of a customer we developed a receiptless package tracking system. This allows incoming post to be quickly and easily logged via a web application. The agile web app supports post distribution when planning tours, including optional label printing. As the mobile end devices record the distribution, warehousing and release, the package movements are trackable. The recipients also benefit from the innovation: they are automatically notified as soon as a shipment is ready for collection at a package station.
Quality assurance: remote access to stationary testing units
More freedom of movement and more efficient work in quality assurance – in accordance with these requirements, we networked mobile end devices with a stationary test system for utility vehicles. Thanks to our software solution for resource-efficient real-time visualisation and remote control, the test assignments can now be displayed, processed or started on a mobile basis, for example directly in the driver’s cab. This saves time and avoids errors.
Specialised trade: RFID tracking of borrowed product samples
For a retail company in the textile industry, we developed an efficient solution for the mobile logging and movement analysis of borrowed sample items. As a suitable software interface, we developed a web application that is accessible via intranet or internet. This web app allows various warehouse management functions to be carried out, such as the logging and searching of articles, compiling search lists or inventory.
The handling of the data logging and tracking sytem is simple: each sample item receives a clear RFID tag lable and therefore a clear identification number. To identify the items of clothing clearly, the ID cn be read by the mobile device via NFC (Near Field Communication) – even through cardboard packaging. Because the RFID scanner system, contrary to barcodes, does not need visual contact, the tracking is greatly simplified. For example, when passing a light barrier, all the RFID can be automatically ready and hte associated data transmitted to the database.
Intralogistics: partial modernisation of an existing system
Give an existing logging system more connectivity and new functions at the least possible expense – we fulfilled this wish for a customer in commissioning. Our software experts extended the available legacy system via an available file interface, adding a modern web application. The agile single page application with a Java back end commicates via s suitable interface (Web API) with modern handheld computers. As a result, the serial number of the article to be commissioned can now be digitally logged faultlessly, saving time, and automatically transmitted to the inventory system.
Service: settle external services efficiently
In this project, we enabled easier ordering and logging of external services with mobile end devices, in this case repairs, as well as replacement and cleaning procedures. The associated data is stored and processed centrally via a web system. A reporting function makes the respective services and invoices transparent, ensuring control at all times of external services.
